President Franklin D. Roosevelt proposed the Civilian Conservation Corps to Congress as part of his New Deal plan on March 21 1933. the proposal was passed soon after, on March 31st. He had run a similar program while governor of New York, which saw great results. Military personal run the CCC work posts and camps, with General Douglas McArthur overseeing the entire program. The program is becoming so popular, President Roosevelt intends on expanding the program to men ages 18- 28 from the previous age of 18-25 to include more men.
